How to Update Avast Antivirus on my Computer Free?

Steps to fix avast not updating  - 

  1. First of all you need to tap on the windows and R keys together so that the command prompt could be opened. 

  2. Now, you need to type ‘ncpa.cpl’ in the box in front of you and then press ok button. 

  3. Internet connection settings will be open, for which now you have to look for network adaptor icon and then double tap on it to fix avast is not updating. 

  4. In this step, click on properties option followed by general tab and then you need to set the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and the alternative DNS server must be set as 8.8.4.4 

  5. Now you can use the DNS Google address and then hit the ok button so that you can exit the dialogue box. 

  6. Now, launch the internet explorer browser so that you can click on the settings option and then click on the internet option. 

  7. Under the internet option the users will find an advanced tab under which they need to click on reset button to reset internet explorer. 

  8. Tick mark the option of delete personal settings and then finally hit the reset button again and then try to update Avast once more. 

  9. We are sure that if you follow these steps properly you will be able to tackle the problem of avast can’t update and you can continue to use Avast as you used to do earlier.
